What the extension does
The extension has a single purpose: while an employee is viewing a web application that Dolphiq manages, it shows the DTAP environment URLs (development, test, acceptance, production) of that same application, together with links to the corresponding entries in our password manager (ncr.pt).
Which data we process
- Account details of the signed-in employee - name and e-mail address, retrieved from My Dolphiq and shown in the extension so the employee can see which account is active.
- Authentication data - a session token issued by Dolphiq's own backend, plus a randomly generated installation identifier that the token is bound to. The extension never processes passwords.
- The hostname of the active tab - read only at the moment the employee opens the extension, and compared locally in the browser against the applications that employee is allowed to see. This hostname is not transmitted to Dolphiq or to anyone else.
- Preferences and cache - the selected API environment and a cached copy (valid for 24 hours) of the application and environment list, so the extension opens instantly.
Where the data is stored
All of the above is stored locally in the browser profile via chrome.storage.local. It is removed when the employee signs out of the extension or removes the extension. The extension communicates only with Dolphiq's own My Dolphiq backends and with Google for single sign-on. No data is sent to any other third party.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or transfer data to third parties.
- We do not use the data for any purpose unrelated to the single purpose described above.
- We do not use the data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not track browsing behaviour and we do not read page content.
Retention and your rights
Session tokens expire automatically and can be revoked by the employee at any time via the connected apps page in My Dolphiq. Because the extension is limited to Dolphiq employees, requests regarding access, correction or deletion of personal data are handled through Dolphiq's internal privacy procedure.
